The original nucleus of the building, born as on olive mill, dates back to 17th century. This was later extended and, with the addition of outhouses, became the manor house for a vast agricultural estate which embraced ten or so smaller farms. At the end of the 19th century the building was bought by Stefano Chimenti, mayor of Bucine, who was married to Gemma Bambi, a Florentine noblewoman. Completely restored in style as near as possible to that given it by their descendent Margherita, every part of the building has since been converted to use as a private dwelling by her grandson..

The Villa has three floors and two mezzanine levels and is surrounded by lush gardens. There are 9 bedrooms (6 doubles; 1 with twin beds and 2 singles) and 5 baths (3 with showers; 1 with a bathtub) a game room , living room, sitting room, dining room, entrance and large kitchen with dinette and large fireplace.
The Villa has a private 4,70 mt. x 9 mt.
swimming pool.

Adjacent the Villa, but with independent entrance, there's the apartment of the owners.
