LUCIGNANO

Le petit village est l'un des plus extraordinaires exemples de l'urbanisme médiéval de par son installation à forme elliptique et variée. De par sa situation éminemment stratégique, l’histoire de son château a été marquée par de vifs et nombreux assauts tout au long des siècles. Le nom dérive probablement de Lucignano un «castrum romain» fondée par le consul Licinius. D’importantes ruines attestent d’une forte présence de colonies étrusques déjà à cette époque.

Hallo allemaal,
groetjes uit Bucine. Het was een heel leuke vakantie en Fabio zorgt ervoor dat alles tiptop in orde is.
Zeker een aanrader voor groepen!

We were a party of 18 family members. It was love at first sight from the minute we walked through the front door of Villa Catola, a little slice of genuine Tuscany. The owner Fabio was a fantastic host where nothing was too much trouble. We were taught how to cook  pizza in a traditional pizza oven in the garden which the whole party enjoyed. Fabio even cooked a fabulous meal for us as one of our party was 21 during our stay, served under the stars in the garden – a memory that will last forever. The villa is in a fantastic position for sight-seeing in Florence and Arezzo (an easy train ride directly from Bucine) as well as the glorious town of Siena, an absolute “must do”. Villa Catola is truly unique and a wonderful place to enjoy the Tuscan experience.

A new beautiful experience and a great July 4th !

Vietimme ikimuistoisen viikon upeassa Villa Catolassa keskella kauneinta Toscanaa. Isantamme Fabio huolehti koko porukastamme. Nautimme matkalla kauniista saasta, hyvasta ruoasta, viinista, ostoksista seka kulttuurista. Villa Catola oli taydellinen majapaikka seka rentoutumiseen, etta Toscanaan tutustumiseen. Bucinen kyla missa huvila sijaitsee on pieni, viehattava ja rauhallinen kyla jossa on kaikki peruspalvelut ja hyvat yhteydet. Tulemme tanne varmasti viela uudelleen!
